Details of the self-drive circuit:
During your road trip in the Bordeaux vineyards, discover small gems of wine heritage. You marvel at architectural gems . You taste an unusual accommodation . You savor the dishes of a chef in the dining room of a castle during your self-guided tour of the Bordeaux vineyards… All this at your own pace, according to an itinerary designed in advance and suggested by us. it is therefore a wine tourism circuit of 4 to 6 days according to your desires and your detours!
With over 120,000 hectares of vines in the Gironde department, there are six driving routes through the vineyards. You choose in advance which one you want to browse. And so, this wine tourism trip is done over a total of 4 or 6 days depending on your choice of routes, established in advance.
Margaux, Saint-Estèphe, Pauillac, Saint-Emilion, Pessac-Léognan, Sauternes … are all names that will hold no more secrets for you after your road trip in the famous vineyards.
The 6 different Bordeaux wine routes:
- The “Bordeaux ” road ; It takes you to the heart of the vineyards in internationally renowned castles, to walks in the sumptuous gardens, to tastings in the cellars. Meet the winegrowers, discover surprising landscapes and lodges that welcome you for one night or more inside the vineyard itself.
- “L’entre-deux-Mers” : you will visit the Abbaye de la Sauve Majeure, a masterpiece of Romanesque art protected by UNESCO. This region is located between the two rivers: Garonne and Dordogne. Close to Bordeaux, get your bike on and take the Voie verte Lapébie to discover all its treasures. You won’t miss a distraction!
- “Graves and Sauternes ”: Here, we come to enjoy the diversity of the territory . Châteaux Crus Classés (such as Haut-Brion) but also family properties . Castles for families, excellent tables starred or not for gourmets.
- “Médoc” : The Haut Médoc with its gently sloping valleys and the marshes of the Gironde bring all the charm of the Gironde. Along your route, you will be able to observe rare protected species. In addition, you will have the opportunity to discover several lakes, including the Hourtin -Carcans lake , which is the largest in France.
- » Saint-Emilion, Pomerol and Fronsac : The Saint-Emilion, Pomerol and Fronsac wine route is famous not only for its wines and its grands crus, but also for the town of Saint-Emilion . She, who from the top of her hill, dominates the Dordogne valley. In 1999, the jurisdiction of Saint-Emilion was propelled to the rank of sites listed as World Heritage by UNESCO. Nearby, you can also visit Pomerol, a much smaller town but which shares its Roman history with that of Saint-Emilion. It includes the small appellation of Lalande de Pomerol. At the gates of Libourne, the main town of the region and not far from the confluence of the Dordogne and the Isle, is the Fronsadais and its two appellations: Fronsac and Canon Fronsac.
- “Blaye and Bourg”: The wine route of Blaye and Bourg will make you discover appellations, proud of their wines and the richness of their heritage: Blaye, Côtes de Bordeaux, Côtes-de-Bourg, Bordeaux and Bordeaux Supérieur . The Blaye region alone, which extends over more than 6,000 hectares, counts. 450 properties, including nearly 200 that welcome visitors for tastings and help them discover the region. The region also stands out for its prehistoric caves, including the Grotte de Pair-non-Pair in Prignac-et-Marcamps. Not to be missed between two tastings! In the wake of the Cité du Vin and located downstream of Bordeaux, Bourg is at the center of a renaissance in wine tourism.

This price is calculated from the accommodation (3 or 4 stars), the choice of the number of days desired (4 or 6 days), the number of participants (from 2 to 4 people), and the visits and activities chosen.
Included in the price of the Bordeaux vineyard self-tour circuit:
- A road book, given before your trip specially designed for you, according to your wishes and your choice of circuits, accommodation and visits. This document is composed of precise indications which allow you to carry out your days of discovery and hikes in complete freedom.
- A cartographic support for the circuit trip.
- Your accommodation chosen by you according to a selection offered to you.
- The breakfasts

Not included in the price of the Bordeaux vineyard self-tour circuit:
- Meals not mentioned
- personal expenses
- A rental car if you do not come with your own vehicle. Ask for your quote if you want a rental car from your place of departure.
