Botswana Safari PROGRAM
Maun, the city which is located in the North of Botswana and which is the gateway to the Moremi reserve and the famous Okavango Delta. THE OKAVANGO: hydrological anomaly which pushed a river, eponymous of the Delta, to divert towards the desert instead of the ocean, forming an immense delta, refuge of an incredible wild fauna.
The first night will be spent in town, in a small, comfortable lodge.
PS: Option: possibility of flying over the Delta in a Cesna-type private plane (or similar). Easy to organize on site in the afternoon (depending on your arrival and availability). Note that this flight will be paid on site in cash if you wish (US$ or PULA. € not recommended)
Dinner offered according to your arrival time.
A stay in the North of Botswana is inconceivable without a canoe trip (called “mokoro” in local language) in the meanders of the Okavango delta. Change of scenery guaranteed in the middle of an aquatic biotope. The fauna is totally adapted to this universe. Hippos, crocs, elephants, antelopes are legion. Departure early in the morning towards the village where the canoes are. It takes 30 to 40 minutes drive. Depending on the level of the Delta, the transfer can be done by motorboat (20 to 25 minutes). Picnic along the way. Return to Maun at the end of the afternoon.
Dinner and accommodation at the same place
Depart early in the morning, after an excellent “British” type breakfast. Our 4×4 are there, ready for your adventure, your safari in Botswana, with our well-trained drivers driving in the sand. 60 km of paved road. 100 km of track. Total: 160 km to get to the North of the Morémi reserve, sanctuary of the Lycaons. Lycaons: these wild dogs with variegated colors, unfortunately endangered. Day, which will be our daily life throughout our journey in the reserves. Safari early in the morning. As every day, breakfast can be taken before or after the safari. Return to camp for lunch. A little free time, then second safari, until sunset. Dinner at camp. Accommodation at BOGA campsite
After breakfast, drive to Kwaï, the northern part of Moremi. 50 km of track, crossing a beautiful not very dense forest, mopanes (the common tree of the region) and well discovered clearings. Mare à Hippos, Impala and other antelopes will accompany our safari. We’re not talking about surprises…Safari day. Picnic lunch en route. Dinner at camp. Accommodation at BOGA campsite
As every day, breakfast can be taken before or after the safari. Great plains, mopane forests. We are looking for the rare! Return to camp for lunch. A little free time, then second safari, until sunset. Dinner at camp
Accommodation at BOGA campsite
Let’s be honest, this day will be the longest in the car. 6 to 7 hours of driving on a sometimes infernal track. Compulsory passage, there is no other…and it is the National which connects Maun to Kasane…so we go with it! On the other hand, animals, especially elephants, antelopes (mainly impalas, but others too…or nothing!!!). Savuti, is an immense plain, a former dry lake, sheltering a fabulous quantity of mammals, especially if the rainy season has been plentiful. Not easy to predict, but great chances of seeing lions, leopards, wild dogs, elephants, giraffes, wildebeest etc. Dinner at the camp. Accommodation at BOGA campsite
As you have understood, a second day is needed in the area! Same program as the other days, never getting tired, you are like us, crazy, crazy, nature and wildlife! Lunch at camp. Dinner at camp.
Accommodation at BOGA campsite

A last part of track a little difficult (+/- 100 km) including a safari. Then 35 km of paved road to reach the southern gate of Chobé Nord (you follow, huh….). In fact, Chobé is a huge reserve, divided into 2 portions, South, with Savuti as a point of interest, and North, with the Chobé River, which attracts a maximum of elephants, up to herds of 1,000 individuals, or even more. Just completely unreal!
Picnic on the way. Safari at the end of the day. Dinner at camp. Accommodation at BOGA campsite
, pulvinar dapibus leo.
Let’s take our time! And let’s taste what will come our way. Picnic en route (or at camp). Safari at the end of the day, depending on the time available and the seasons (shorter day in winter). Dinner at camp. Accommodation at BOGA campsite
