Visit to the Sesriem Canyon. Visit of the site of the great dunes of Sossuvlei. 2h00 walk in the sand, including the ascent of a large dune (for those who want it), and discovery of the dry lake of “Dead Vlei”, which is home to a population of acacia trees 900 years old and completely desiccated. Absolutely stunning decor. Accommodation in a Guest farm ** (Welte Vrede or similar) near the entrance to the Sesriem National Park (40 km track).

In the early morning, short transfer of 45 km paved road, along the sea. Unforgettable walk in the surrounding dunes and an incursion into the Sandwich Harbor reserve. Lunch is provided during the excursion. Return to Swakopmund in the afternoon. Accommodation in Guest House *** in town. Full board.

Road to the Cape Cross sea lion reserve. It’s a crowd of 20 to 50,000 individuals who bask on the beach, jump in the waves, shout, play… We could stay there for hours as the show is captivating. Lunch will be taken in Uis, in our guest house. At the end of the afternoon, walk for 2 hours to get to the site of the “White Lady”, this mysterious cave painting of San origin, which gave rise to many controversies.Accommodation in a Guest House ** in Uis . Full board.

5h30 to 6h00 drive to reach the Etosha National Reserve, one of the greatest places to admire, observe and photograph African wildlife. Photo safari at the end of the afternoon. Accommodation in a *** bungalow inside the reserve (subject to availability).

HEALTH : Vaccination against yellow fever not mandatory (becomes mandatory if you have previously stayed in a country located in the endemic zone). • We strongly advise you to be up to date with classic vaccinations : diphtheria, tetanus, poliomyelitis, typhoid fever, hepatitis A and B.

Malaria Antimalarial treatment is recommended. Consult your doctor. Bring a tropical repellent.

Currency: The Namibian dollar (N$) equivalent to the South African Rand, rate to date: 1N$ = 0.062 €.

Electricity: 220/240 volts, 3-prong type 15 amp outlet. European two-prong plugs are not compatible. You will therefore need to provide an adapter that you can easily find at the airport.

Best seasons: The austral winter months (May to September) are the best for the interior of the country and for the Etosha reserve. The austral summer months (October to the end of April) are the best for the coast, with long days of sunshine. During the months of December, January, February and March, possibility of stormy rains.

Luggage advice: Rather than a rigid suitcase, we recommend a sturdy, flexible travel bag.

Schedule of Daily Safaris

(2 per day. Morning and evening, according to program) in 4×4 with experienced guide.

In the morning : GET UP VERY EARLY for the 1st game drive (a hot drink taken and hop in 4×4 in search of wild animals. Return to daylight for breakfast. Rest. Lunch.

Afternoon : Departure around 4:00 p.m. and until nightfall. Return for dinner and overnight.

INSURANCE AND ASSISTANCE No travel insurance (luggage, cancellation, repatriation etc…) is not included in our prices. It is strongly advised not to travel without these insurances.
